Stables Close

Brick, oak and shingle roof construction they were originally built by the British Army at Weedon Barracks – and used for polo ponies. So its fitting that for the last thirty years they have been put back to their original purpose -  Argentinian polo ponies.  The stables also incorporate a dovecote – home for approximately one hundred white fantail doves and tumblers.

Uniquely the dove change colour during the summer months to flamingo pink when their diet of krill (astaxanthin) tints the feathers.
